Salalah
Salalah is the capital of the southern Omani province of Dhofar.
The region is known as “Frankincense Land” as well as for its beautiful beaches, fruits plantations and Khareef, an annual monsoon, transforming the desert terrain into a lush green landscape.

Salalah West
Su una strada che si snoda costantemente su una ripida pendenza, le mandrie di cammelli e di bovini sono uno spettacolo comune, che offre una vista panoramica della tradizionale bellezza rurale del Dhofari. Visitate l'antica tomba del Profeta Giobbe, situata tra le verdi montagne della pianura di Salalah. Proseguite verso la spiaggia di Mughsail, dove la sabbia bianca tocca il blu profondo dell'oceano e, durante l'alta marea, le onde irrompono attraverso i titanici "Blow Holes" naturali, all'estremità della "spiaggia rocciosa" con un ingresso simile a una grotta. Salalah East
Visitate l'antico villaggio di pescatori di "Taqah", famoso per la produzione di "sardine essiccate" e le sue tradizionali e antiche "case Dhofari". Proseguite verso le antiche rovine della città di Sumhuram, un tempo famosa. La città era l'avamposto più orientale del Regno di Hadramawt sull'antica via dell'incenso tra il Mar Mediterraneo, una delle principali città di commercio dell'incenso. Un pittoresco viaggio in auto vi porterà poi a esplorare il "sempre verde Wadi Darbat" per una rilassante passeggiata lungo il letto del Wadi, circondati da mandrie di cammelli, capre e bovini.
Empty Quarter desert

Visit the ‘Lost City of Ubar’ (UNESCO World heritage site), 175km away from Salalah. This legendary ancient kingdom, known as Ubar, was said to have existed in one of the most inhospitable places on earth – a vast Rub Al Khali desert, appropriately known as the Empty Quarter.
